Improvements to MEMSCAN.
First off, I want to say that I was pretty overwhelmed with the volume of attention MEMSCAN received when I initially blogged about it a little while ago. I really didn't think it was that big of a deal. I started MEMSCAN for two reasons - there wasn't anything out there which did /exactly/ what I wanted it to do and also because I wanted to move beyond reading C to actually trying to write some C of my own. The fact that so many people downloaded and have contacted me about MEMSCAN is great and makes me find time to work on it that I didn't think I had.
I received many requests to allow the user to specify an output file to dump the memory too. Since this is a tiny improvement, I bumped MEMSCAN to 1.0.1 and dropped it on to my Cydia repo: grantdouglas.co.uk, you can go ahead and grab the updated version.
MEMSCAN now lives at Github.com
I think for collaboration purposes this is the right move. MEMSCAN is cool but has it's quirks and issues, with the help of others it can be better.
I tidied up the code a little so it is slightly cleaner than when it was hosted in the old repo. Please do fork, clean, request a merge, open issues, etc. etc.
